This book explores Mexico’s changing socioeconomic and political landscape over a 100 year period, culminating with the controversial Tlatelolco Massacre of ‘68 — the tragic government massacre of student and civilian protesters in Plaza de las Tres Culturas, Mexico City. With the death toll still unresolved — official governmental estimates place civilian deaths at 30, while various other estimates report deaths ranging from 300 to the thousands — the book aims to offer an additional look at a pivotal event whose documentation remains incomplete.
